m-Projections involving Minkowski inverse and range symmetric property in Minkowski space
In this paper we study the impact of Minkowski metric matrix on a projection in the Minkowski Space M along with their basic algebraic and geometric properties. The relation between the m-projections and the Minkowski inverse of a matrix A in the minkowski space M is derived. In the remaining portion commutativity of Minkowski inverse in Minkowski Space M is analyzed in terms of m-projections as...
متن کاملFractional superstrings with space-time critical dimensions four and six.
We propose possible new string theories based on local world-sheet symmetries corresponding to extensions of the Virasoro algebra by fractional spin currents. They have critical central charges c = 6(K + 8)/(K + 2) and Minkowski space-time dimensions D = 2+16/K for K ≥ 2 an integer. We present evidence for their existence by constructing modular invariant partition functions and the massless pa...
متن کاملThe Bicovariant Differential Calculus on the Κ-poincaré Group and on the Κ-minkowski Space
The bicovariant differential calculus on the four-dimensional κ-Poincaré group and the corresponding Lie-algebra like structure are described. The differential calculus on the n-dimensional κ-Minkowski space covariant under the action of the κ-Poincaré group is constructed.
متن کاملTime As a Geometric Property of Space
The proper description of time remains a key unsolved problem in science. Newton conceived of time as absolute and universal which “flows equably without relation to anything external.” In the nineteenth century, the four-dimensional algebraic structure of the quaternions developed by Hamilton, inspired him to suggest that he could provide a unified representation of space and time. With the pu...
متن کاملCoulomb Scattering of an Electron by a Monopole*
A classical Lagrangian formalism has recently been given ~1 from which both the symmetrized set of Maxwell’s equations and the equations of motion for both electrically and magnetically charged particles can be derived. This analysis uses two potentials, following Cabibbo and Ferrari, [‘I and employs space-time algebra,#’ the Clifford algebra appropriate to four-dimensional Minkowski space-time...
